    Yes, Treasure Chest Project software downloads are links to places that
holds them. (This could change soon ... certain restrictions though !).

    Unless the copyright owner states otherwise, the assumption that the
software can be made avaliable in any means, from anywhere (fully copyright
notice intact) is taken. This is the same assumption that you have stated as
well. If by any chance that a certain software, say must be downloaded ONLY
from a certain place, then the link to download will point at that place (or
bring them to that page).

    With that regard, if you see carefully enough under the Apple IIGS
section, you are asked to 'Read the License' when you click on the link to get
System 6.01 & HyperCard IIGS. Apple requires a license to redistribute them
from any particular person, but anyone can download from Apple's (or it's
mirrors) if you accept the Licensing conditions.
