A common problem with installing any PC peripheral is getting your
interrupts and drivers set up correctly. (I do not know what sort of
arrangements a G3 may make.) Normally, if you make it through the
Iomega Tools Install, this kind of thing is taken care of.

A less common Zip drive problem is the so-called "Click of Death".
There are reports which indicate that internal Zip drives located near a
poorly shielded power supply and/or a built-in monitor may experience
serious misalignment resulting in repeated clicking produced by a disk
head failing to find and over-shooting Track Zero. (If this sounds like
your problem, disconnect your Zip drive now and get more in-depth
advice.)

Since comp.sys.apple2 is an Apple II Computer newsgroup, this
message is being cross-posted to comp.sys.mac.advocacy where a Mac
expert will be able to supply better help.

Good luck with curing your Zip drive problem.
