Apple IIGS Hard Drive won't boot
Have a 6-year old Quality Computers 100meg(Quantum) HD, Apple High Speed
SCSI card,Zip accelerator and use Salvation Supreme(Wings) for HD
management and boot. Get either of two error msgs when try to boot the
HD:"SCSI BOOT ERROR" or "SCSI device requires a driver. Please install
SCSI driver on boot disk and reboot system." Floppies work fine.It looks
as if the HD and SCSI card are fine; my "yellow blinking light " on the
HD tells me that the system is trying to access the drive. The problem
is that I can't get to the drive to reinstall the SCSI driver and/or
System 6.01; Installer will not recognize the HD.Any suggestions on how
I can boot to the HD or at least get the system to recognize the
drive? What do I need to have on the boot floppy to do this and install
the driver? Is Wings the problem and if so, how do I get around it?
Thanks. APPLE II FOREVER! Buck McCants.
