Was in university and too poor to buy anything but a used ][Plus clone.
Eventually upgraded to a IIe clone. Eventually bought a GS cpu from Sun.
I've spent about seven years upgrading the same, and haven't finished yet.
At every step, it made more sense to upgrade within the II line than to
switch to another line.
