Yup. The OEM contract, of course, being the lifeblood of any clone
computer manufacturer. It's not a contract being argued among partners.
If, when this was added to the OEM contract, Compaq had said "This is
unacceptable and we won't sign that contract", MS would have said "Enjoy
your going out of business sale."
It's called a monopoly. And using a monopoly in one market (OS) to crush
a competitor in another market (browsers). Thanks for making it so
clear.
