Technically, Apple System Software is NOT freeware.  It has part of
the freeware concept, but not all.  You need a license to theoretically
legally distribute it.  That's not freeware...

Now anyone can get a license to distribute it and it does not cost
anything, but because you have to first ask, it is not freeware...

Freeware means free to distribute without explicit permission...well
at least not new permission every time someone new wants to do
the distribution...I think that was Tony's point...
