It depends on the HD disks, I think. Nathan's rants aside, I have tried
using HD disks as DD disks and have experienced data lost over weeks
or months. To be more specific, I used bulk disks from Mei...they
format initially, then fade. I've also tried name brand Fujifilm disks to
the same effect. Can't speak for other brands...
Then I got a real HD drive for my GS and reformatted all those HD
disks in HD format...they've worked reliably ever since.
