Mac d/l for Apple2 GS forked files need help

HI i am d/l files to my Mac for my sons Apple2 GS .. So far i have D/L the
files off the web on to a 800k ProDOS formated disk.. I have shrinkit to
open the files but at some point Shrinkit tells me it can't open the files
because they are forked... now is there a program that will remove the
forkes   from the files so i can open the apple2 gs files...if so what is
the name of it and how do i use it. I hope someone can help... oh  yea 
the apple2 gs is running system 5.something....with a little over a meg of
ram  (2) 3.5 flopys& (1) 5.25 flopy
