have you actually CHECKED with them about that? YOU might think that
there's no market for the program, and -I- might think the same thing,
but it doesn't mean that THEY think that....

i'd rather know for SURE that it's kosher to copy-n-distribute before
i tried to do it.... if i could document attempts to get permission
from the copyright holder(s) and they don't respond or if they tell me
it's okay, i'd want something to show the authorities to cover my
butt.... (such is stuff one learns with age, i guess.)
such "evidence" would also prove useful in case certain people start
nagging my ISP about stuff, too... <ahem> always good stuff to have,
evidence. :)
