The IIgs has a low-pass filter operating at 26kHz. (Which is of course not a
limitation of the Ensoniq but of the Apple IIgs design.)

As for the remaining issues, I really think c.s.a2 is not the right place. I do
have a natural interest in keeping Bernie talk going, but maybe we should
switch over to c.e.a2. besides, I think the facts have been elaborated on
extensively.

use it if you find it worthwile, don't use it if it isn't. Speed is unimportant
- Apple II users have been living with single-digit (and low two-digit) clock
speeds for almost twenty years, and there's more to a machine than dhrystone
and MIPS.
