Re: Boycott Microsoft
I have been a computer tech. working on Microsoft Products for 2 years. I
have been a beta tester for Windows 95, Windows 98 (Nashville then Memphis),
NT 4.0 and 5.0, and many Exchange builds I won't even begin to list. I
personally think that microsoft is equal to the McDonalds of computers. Yes,
it is a hamburger. yes, it is food. But, damnit, "Mom&Pops Diners" is better
- but it costs more! If you want a real computer, buy a Unix box, buy an
UltraSparc or a SGI system - and NEVER touch microsoft. If you want the best
damn handheld system on earth, better than most PC's I've worked on, buy a
Newton - there are hundreds of brilliant individuals who are making excellent
programs for this little tiger for very little money - they deserve your
business and your respect. But microsoft is just a company. It is no worse of
better than McDonalds. It came in, saw an opportunity to make alot of money
and get PC's to a larger population, and it took it. But Windows is for
dummies, or for people who have no time to deal with real systems.
That's my opinion!
