Modem Trouble

Recently aquired a 28.8 Teleport Modem for Mac.  Wanted to hook it to my
Apple2Gs, BUT the mini-din connector wasn't happy with that idea.  The
din connector from the modem (from bottom up) is 3( or is it 2?) pin, 4
pin, 3 pin.  Anyway, where the modem connector has 4 pins, the GS (on
the modem port) has 3 pin slots.  Is there an adapter for this kind of
situation, do I have to wire my own connector, or?
