This is unfair. Apple's official stuff NEVER says "ROM 3 IIgs", they
always say "Apple IIgs with 1MB" -- even to the point of severe anal
retention. But everyone else invented the ROM1/ROM3 terms because they
are much easier to say and type, and they are forever bound to the two
motherboard revisions. The original poster asked a reasonable and honest
question, and your answer is incredibly and unnecessarily editorialized.

A FAQ is only official when endorsed by some person or organization, so
the word "official" means nothing unless you name the sponsor or rely on
the canonical one, which would be Apple in this case. Far as I can tell,
any time you or Ruby call your FAQ official you are just posturing. FAQs
are FAQs, all information is provided to be used at your own risk, enjoy.
