Ambiosonic or amabient sound has been around for years. I'm not sure how this
ties into the question of piracy and Asimov but if you want to hear ambient
sound it's very easy. I used to have this hooked up in my old Chevy Monza.
Front speakers to a stereo are hooked up conventionally (pos. & common. to pos.
&common.). Rear speakers are hooked up in series with left positive lead going
to the positive lead on the left rear speaker. The common lead from that
speaker goes to the common lead of the right rear speaker. Finally, the
positive lead from the right rear speaker goes to the right rear positive
output of the stereo. Nothing is connected to the common left or right rear
outputs. Caution...do this at your own risk. I did it and it gave stereo
recordings an additional spacial sound. With the high power units it's possible
you may fry something! I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE!
