Re: Asimov performs a valuable service; so why fight over it
Good old Rudy wrote: "By the way, has anyone been to Wal-Mart lately? They have

Well, Rudy and everybody else, Turkey Hunt on the MS-DOS platform doesn't have
documentation comments and contriversial content - that restricts it from
public sales at Wal-Mart, or as in the case of TurkeyShootGS refusal to allow
it's inclusion on certain public online services and public ftp sites, as
TurkeyShootGS most certainly does have. After all, (other than offering it for
sale to the public subscribers - via a couple of A2 and GS newsletters) It's
only available for public Internet access and download from the authors ftp or
web site.
The Macintosh platform has a Hypercard stack titled: TurkeyShoot Revenge -
Revenge of the Turkey or something like that. I'll supply the exact title of
it on email request. I found it in the Mac software archives from AOL - last
month, downloaded and checked it out. It's got a lot of HI-GRADE humor and
content issues that really do
remind me of the TurkeyShootGS program, in many points of view and subject
matter. It's a rather well made and designed HC stack also.
Now that the Mac Hypercard v2.3.5 has 256 color support with midi, Modfile and
a multiple other GS compatible music and sound formats inclusions with it's own
upgrade and as the GS hypercard stacks can now support that number of colors
with GS graphics format files and handle the formats with effects for the
music, sound, etc. just fine with a proper conversion using HyperMover - I
think somebody should port it to the GS Hypercard stack format.
Interested?
Cheers,
Tom
