Well, from may years running the computer labs at WSU, I can tell you that most
people don't even have enough commone sense to not force a disk when the
shutter is causing it to stick (causing the shutter to be left in the drive,
and the drive ruined) Also on the wintel half of the house it was much more
common for disks to become corrupted because students would remove the disk
without closing their files.
