They don't care because they can get it for free anyway.
And actually, I haven't seen a student-discount in the Netherlands -ever.
If you walk into a computer store (no matter what kind of), they never
have discounts. The Apple dealers don't either, but less than 1% of the
students here has a Mac (that's my guess).
The situation here is quite different from the USA. I have the feeling
that computer use is much more promoted on your side of the big ocean. We
don't use computers that much on school/ university.
What you all should know: I called the Apple Assistance Center last week.
I had a question about the PPC 4400 and we somehow switched to the "big
software question" as we are discussing now. You'll never believe that
this spokesman of Apple said "that using software illegaly is normal
during your study time, and buying comes when you have a job, and when
it's affordable to you"... and I just bought OS 8... :-)
