Another question about Broderbund's "Animate". I normally use an
original of this program with a live //e and IIgs, but I recently
tried using a copy from asimov on an emulator. A problem I have is
manifesting in both the "original floppy" and "emulator image"
versions of use, but in slightly different ways:
When I go to the FILE menu and select SAVE and select CHARACTER and
type a file name, and then press OKAY, it fails to save.
Using the live floppy disk, it tells me that there is no character
found.
On the emulator, it just makes a loud beeping/grating noise that
continues until the emulator is reset.
Also, when using the emulator (but NOT when using the live floppy
version), I get a "Prodos Error: I/O Error" message whenever I try to
use the HELP ABOUT menu. This occurs even when I put the correct disk
image for help text (Side A) in the drive.
Can anyone help me with these problems? I would really love to get
this program working and figure out how to use it to do animation!
