Re:"Nathan vs Rubywand: Choose sides?" Ridiculous.

Like this immature thread really needs anymore comments, but...

I helped set up the first Apple II I'd seen since my //c in 1985 about two
months ago. Nathan Mates' FAQ and almost immediate responses were some of
the most useful stuff I've ever gotten off an Internet filled with spam,
flame wars, and other crap, and I appreciate it immensely.

But the petty in-fighting that goes on in this newsgroup really rivals
anything I've "kill-filed" anywhere. With the respect due to Nathan's
skills on the Apple II, I've got to say that other comp.sys groups,
pirates get ignored or privately (e-mail) blasted, because you're probably
not going to change their mind. When a newbie seems to not understand
copyright law, they get a little reminder.

Anyways, I've got my PowerMac, my 486, and my UNIX machines at school to
get back to now that I've played around that IIgs (and the nifty emulators
around - those are still a great time!) It seems you here in CSA2 will be
losing a tremendous resource if you drive Nathan Mates out.

Keep those 8-bit machines alive so I can show my kid how I learned BASIC
when he's old enough. Good luck.
