     Maybe. An Unclaimed Sound Interrupt error can be a result of a
messed-up interrupt vector or of a bad vector to the table of vectors.
That is, memory has been messed around and, instead of crashing into the
monitor, when a sound interrupt occurs you 'luck out'; the interrupt is
merely "not serviced" and you get routed to the System Failure Manager.

     A good place to look for causes of this kind of failure is anything
which might trash some part of memory. On the GS, a frequent cause of
memory trashing is noise on the +5V power bus.
