Most business in the early days of desktop computing didnt know what to
make of micros. Even IBM was suprised when their PC evolved into their
primary terminal.

As for sales. Businesses bought from real businesses. And they viewed
IBM as a solid company, not like the one run by "hippies". apple has
never done what was necessary to sell in the "business" communitty.
