The only thing I can tell you about it (simply because that is
all I know myself) is the author is Mike Searl(sp?) from Canada,
who is or was planning to eventually release it. When I last spoke
to him it was in an early beta stage -- there was no sound support
yet and it ran fairly slowly on his average-speed accelerator.
I've since lost Mike's e-mail address and heard nothing about
the project for several months now. Perhaps someone out there who
knows it might want to find out the status of the project?

Neither have I, except the before mentioned AY-3-8910 sound
chip software emulators ("ProDOS ALF Player" and MDIdeas XMas
Jubebox program, which was an emulator disguised as a stereo
sound demo. The former actually works with a real hardware
ALF card, but in a IIgs can emulate one through software).
The Gameboy emulator was never much publicized (that's an
understatement!), but there was never any secrecy about the
project. It might have been a nice surprise, but it seems to
have fallen into limbo like some many other project. :/
