With 512k, you aren't going to get very far. You need some more RAM to hold
System 6.0.1 and some extras (NDA's, INITs, CDA's) I think 2 megabytes is
the smallest *I* could work with.
Prodos 8 2.03 formats 3.5" drives fine. Maybe you have a bad disk or
disk drive? When you say it won't format, what error does it give you, or
what happens when you try to format?
I don't know of any IIgs FAQ.
Some good softwares to take advantage of the IIgs are:
System 6.0.1
NDAs, CDA's, Inits
Platinum Paint, Paintworks Gold Graphics/paint programs
Apple Works GS (database, spread sheet, paint, wordprocessing)
Graphic Writer III (desktop publishing)
Synthlab (music program)
GSCII+ Decode programs when you download them
SHRINKIT decode programs
Wolf 3D AWESOME game for the GS
Email me if you have specific questions about programs (I've spend *hours*
downloading and trying out different System addons)
Sincerely,
Sandy
