   The keyword being 'little'. To mangle a Thomas Edison quote,
finished products are 1% inspiration, 99% perspiration. Too many think
that they can whip up enthusiasm, and then take credit for anything
which appears without ever doing any work. Sorry, products don't
appear that way-- a whole LOT of work is needed. [And when was the
last time you saw any pirate doing anything for others besides sector
editing his name into anything? Consider that before you ever support
them again-- they piss off developers, and give you nothing in
return.]

   At the end of all the enthusiasm, the question remains: who will do
the work? Rubywanker's been spouting off for years about GS "upgrades"
and produced only a load of hot air that's influenced global weather
patterns this year. Get some work done already, *then* you can promote
it, and people will have something to be genuinely enthusiastic about.

   Get 99 programmers and 1 vocal cheerleader, and that's a decent
ratio for the community. Instead, these "cheerleaders" are doing their
best to piss off programmers and any voices that say "You're rooting
for the wrong teams, and stealing stuff from those who you claim to be
supporting." Get some real work done already, and shut up in the
meantime.
