Well, for the record, I, personally, don't much "bash" Apple or the
Mac but I certainly don't recommend Apple products like I used to.

As to putting Mac users into the same boat as the II owners, I can't
control what computer people buy. It is not my responsibility to help
Mac owners to ensure they get value for the money they spent on their
Mac machines. It is up to Apple Computer Inc. to do so. If Apple has
messed things up and alienated a lot of people and made a lot of
enemies then that is their fault and I have no way to control that.

It is up to Apple Computer Inc. to address the complaints and gripes
of Apple computer owners, both Mac and II, to stop the "bashing". I
imagine there are a lot of Mac clone makers out there "bashing" Apple
at present too.

So, like I've said before, Apple can continue to survive or go out of
business, it makes no difference to me personally. I would feel sorry
for all the users who might get hurt by Apple going out of business
but unless Apple comes out with something that interests me again, I
still won't buy any more Apple products.

By the way, this same attitude is also geared toward other computer
companies, not just Apple, and many other industries other than
computers.

I have no idea what would entice Apple into releasing a new Apple II
machine. They seems they turned their back on money being a deciding
factor when the IIs were outselling the Macs in the late 80s. Now
they also would end up looking kind of silly releasing a new II. Mind
you, with a radical change in thinking it could happen but I feel it
is extremely unlikely.

This is why I have been hoping to design a new motherboard for the
past 6-8 years. I just haven't had the money to get the equipment I
would need for such a task.

I don't think my feelings really came across well in this post but I
hope that people can basically see where I'm coming from.
