I am not sure I see the problem...ok, I think I do.

Spectrum should have a preference setup.  Designate a default dload
directory and enable auto-Zmodem detect.  Now when you send
multiple files over from HyperTerminal, they should automatically
trigger a Zmodem receive.

I can't tell you exactly how to do this (I have ProTerm), but I am sure
Spectrum has this feature!
