I recalled some talk of graphical web browsers for the Commodore
computers, so I did a DejaNews search. Guess what? There is
this talented individual on Delphi named Maurice who has rewritten
the Commodore operating system, GEOS, all by himself. He is
also working on a graphical web browser called The Wave. Not
only that, people have been working on Commodore SLIP!

Do a DejaNews search on the comp.sys.cbm newsgroup for the
subjects "Web Browser" and see what comes up....

These Commie 64 and 128 folks are sure positive and forward
looking while many GS users here tend to complain too much.
I have to admit that with a SCU 20Mhz unit and access to up to
16MB of memory, a computer like a beefed up C128 (whose
VDC chip with the last video upgrade could do resolutions beyond
the GS) might actually be a better computer for web browsing
than a GS. It is not only their faster SCU accelerator and more
accessable memory, but also sprites and (for the C128) screen
resolution.

If it is possible on Commodores, it is at least possible on the
GS, right? Something to think about....
