Help Transferring Appleworks files to IBM PC Format

Hi all --
I have an Apple IIc on which I created many AppleWorks files (mostly WP,
but also some DB).  I'm unsure of the best way to transfer these files
to my IBM Aptiva with Windows 95.  I am aware that even though I do have
a 3.5" drive for the IIc, that the IBM can't read the disk.  Also, I
never purchased a modem for the IIc, nor do I have any
telecommunications software for it; I don't even know what type of modem
would work for it, or where I'd get the cable, so at this point sending
the files in that manner isn't an option.  I've heard of "null modem"
transfers, but I've also heard that Win95 programs actually want to be
hooked up through the phone lines rather than the "null" method.  I'd
have NO idea of how to go about it, anyway.

Has anyone purchased the Sequential Systems product "CrossWorks"
lately?  I note that the reviews for this product are from 1989 --
pre-Windows days.  Does anyone know if the instructions have been
revised to include Win95 directions?

I do have a friend with a Mac, but neither one of us are computer pros
and anyway, I don't want to put all my files on her hard drive (someone
told us that this would be necessary before the files could be saved to
a PC disk).  

Has anyone out there used either the CrossWorks product or the "Mac
intermediary" method?  If so, could you post the specifics, please?
