     This seems like what must be happening. No matter what you tell
Windows and Netscape about "SHK" files, Netscape seems to be getting a
"this is a Text file" message from the http html listing and does a Text
download. (There is, for example, no problem downloading the
computerfish.gif picture via http. The http listing identifies the file
as a "GIF" file, not a "TXT" file.)
