AE HD drive

Someone posted a list here, just a few weeks ago, of which disk drives
work with which controllers on which computers. And I didn't take much
notice... How was I to know? Now that I need it, I can't find it
anymore.

Just now I got an AE HD disk drive. No docs, no driver, no controller.
And I can't get it to work. Well, I can connect it to the SmartPort, and
it handles 800K disks, but chokes on HD disks. (The computer wants to
initialize the disk as 800K, and fails). So my question is: do I need a
controller for it? Or a driver? Or both?
