    If you have the Apple manufactured memory daughterboard, and 
it is fully populated (all 32 sockets filled) then you have 256K. 
It used 64Kx1 DRAMs and held a maximum of 256K; if you wanted to
upgrade to more that required a 3rd party board.

    Get into the Apple III's Monitor-like eniviroment (I believe 
pressing OpenApple-Reset or SolidApple-Reset gets you in) then
type: F6E6G

    It only seems to check for faulty RAM, there is no report to
the amount of memory present (unless it indirectly tells you by
changing the grid of periods to a different symbol, to show if
a socket is empty).

    The "Apple III Diagnostics" or "Confidence ///" programs both
report the total amount of RAM present, if memory serves right.
