Actually, the FD-2000 is 3.5 inch High Density drive, using a 1.6 MB format
and offering subdirectory support. It can also be programmed to format,
read and write 1.4 MB disks (a la MS-DOS or Mac HD), and has 800 K modes as
well. Yes, it is currently in production. We did have an FD-4000 model that
did 3.2 MB, but the drive mechs never caught on well in other markets and
are no longer available.
