I suppose it all depends on your definition of "support". If I
forgo Delphi and Genie because I don't have the money (or choose
to spend my money differently) I guess you could say I'm less
committed to "the cause".
But A2 isn't a religion for me. I like the box, I use one at home,
and I'll explain to people why I don't need anything more than
a IIgs to get my jobs done. I'll also tell them what the box can
do! (TCP/IP, Wolfy, etc.)
Granted, if I don't subscribe to everything, then the support I give
out will be inferior. This would matter if I were trying to make
a living supporting legacy A2 users. I'm not. I'm willing to help
people out as best I can, but I'm not going to inconvenience myself
too much. (eg, I don't even read csa2 when I'm busy) I rely on
other supporters like myself to cover for me. :-)
I've wasted too much time on this already...
