Mitchell, the C-Vue does fold over. My C-Vue came with the hinge
intact. However, there are a few hairline cracks in one portion
of the plastic. But, I applied some super glue to head off any
impending break and it has been as good as new.

Before my C-Vue I owned an Apple LCD display for about 2 weeks.
I was so disappointed in the lack of contrast that I sold it.
Fortunately, I found my C-Vue for $15 (attached to a broken IIc).
The C-Vue is also difficult to view but is much better than the
Apple display...Since you have a C-Vue you can imagine how bad
the Apple display must be! :-)

One thing Apple display users can do is open the display and remove
the clear plastic cover which overlays the LCD. This vastly improves
the contrast. (still not outstanding mind you!). I've never looked
closely to see if the same trick could be done with the C-vue.

I too have the IIc Plus with C-Vue. While I don't use it too often
it is such a neat combo I think I'll be keeping it forever. I have
a 1Mb Chinook RAM card and have been thinking of adding a No Slot
Clock to make it more complete.

One time Tony Diaz mentioned the possibility of 'adding' backlighting
to a IIc LCD display. But, it sounded a little risky so I never
followed up with him via e-mail. Would be real neat though!
