CD-R - I need advice on where and what to buy

We are looking for a CD-R for archiving and sharing info with our clients.
We need an external drive that we can move between three machines.

I would like any advice on the best units to consider, where I can get the
best selection and price, and any web sites that may have reviews and
comparisons.

Any help to get me started would be appreciated. Thanks!
