.shk files cross-platform?

A simple one:
Can archivers ( eg, stuffit or others) on Mac platform correctly unstuff
.shk files?
What steps are involved?
How about on Wintel platform?
Here is the context of my question. My Spanish class has put some of their
Hyperstudio IIGS stacks on the web. I announced it to a listserv of
language teachers.
Responses have come from folks who neither own nor operate a IIGS, but
have bare bones machines at school. Their familiarity is limited to using
them as nothing more than fast IIes. They just want to pop a disk in &
view the stack. (In some cases people just want to view the stacks on a
Mac; HS mac will convert the GS stacks)
I direct them to the page explaining how to their browser A2 aware so they
can grab the .shk files.
But how can they unshrink them without gshk?
If they can't, pelase let me know that. If there is a way, I'd like to
know as well so I can make it clear on the web page.
I'm sure this info has been discussed before, but so it it is too annoying
to many of you just ignore the question.
I'm hoping just one person will give me the straight poop on this simple
dilemma so GS- impaired teachers can check out our stacks.
thanks
