AOL software for GEOS still supported

Did you know that AOL software for PC GEOS is still supported?
The GeoBook, an XT with an LCD screen from Brother, runs
GEOS and uses GEOS AOL.  GEOS AOL has a similar feature
set to GS AOL.  There is a graphical logon screen, but it is
mostly text based.  This has led me to conclude that there was
no technical reason why AOL cancelled GS logon support, but
rather a lack of will to do maintanance of the GS version.  It
should not have been hard to adapt the GS software to match
the GEOS one.
