Okay,
I've done a bit of testing. I've got 3 other IIgs computers that I can test
on besides the main IIgs which I use which has the drive problem.
So far the drives seem not to be the problem. They all work perfectly on
the other IIgs computers. I've replaced the battery on the main IIgs and
that of course didn't fix the problem. Pulled the Zip Drive off the main
IIgs and that didn't fix it either.
So, I'm to do some more testing to see if it could be any of the cards in
the IIgs.
I've got the following installed
8 meg memory card
Ramfast connected to a scsi hard drive and an insite 3.5 floptical drive
(both work perfectly)
Transwarp 12.5mhz
Grappler + printer card
If it is the actual controller on the board of the IIgs how do I go about
fixing it? I would rather fix it then swap out the whole board. Since this
IIgs was installed in an actual IBM tower case many years ago! Yes
everything is crammed in a tower case except for the 3.5 inch drive never
got around to do this part.
Any help would be appreciated on the on board drive controller.
Thanks again,
Sam
