     No. While emulators are a nice addition to the Apple II 'family',
most people interested in Apple II software are likely to have an Apple
II computer and prefer to use it for running A2 wares. Of course, it
would not be easy to know for sure.

     That's too bad. Fortunately, Apple II's can be found at club swap
meets, school sales, thrift shops, flea markets, ... for low prices. You
can replace your fried Apple without too much trouble.

     Probably; but, then, this has always been the case.

     Entertainment is an important function of any personal computer. On
the PC, game playing is either the first or second most important
application (internet access would be the only possible competition). 
Mainly, it is user readiness to pay for more and better computer
entertainment which fuels continuous rapid hardware upgrades.
