    With my 15/64 ZipGS, I find that keeping the cache set to 64K will
often cause it to be unstable. Random freezes and lock-ups mostly, as
well as garabled text as you describe (I would get that in ProTERM a
fair bit). For a long while loosely fitting a heat sink over the ASIC
on the ZipGS stabilized things, but for some odd reason it hasn't been
recently (I suspect either temperature changes or impure power coming
from my wall socket--probably the latter since I'm having problems with
running _any_ monitor in my apartment above a 60 Hz refresh :/).

    Until I find a better solution, I've switched it down to 32K and
it is now almost completely stable. There doesn't seem to be much, 
if any at all, difference between 32K and 64K so it's not bothered
me too much. Another idea I may try is changing the 74xxx part with
another, as was suggested to me a few months back.
