     Suppose a user wanted to email a report about his/her Disk ][-- 
i.e. not necessarily a comparison of mechanisms, more like talking about
good and bad experiences with the drive. Would you be interested in this
sort of information?

     Is there some way to tell which mechanism is in your Disk ][
without removing the case cover-- like serial numbers, etc.? If it is
necessary to remove the cover, what is the quickest way to identify the
mechanism?
