As the IIe has a 3.5" drive, I'd forget about using MacADT altogether.
It is way slower and much more of a hassle than using the 3.5" drive.

If all you want to do is transfer data files to the Mac then just copy
them to the 3.5" drive on the IIe, take that disk to the Mac and copy
the files of the 3.5" disk to the Mac's hard drive.

If you want to use your IIe disks on an emulator running on the Mac,
that is when you need to make disk images.  DSK2FILE is definitely the
program I would suggest using.  Save the disk images onto a 3.5" disk
and carry that over to the Mac the same way I mentioned above.  I take
it that the copy of DSK2FILE you have is in a ShrinkIt archive.

There are a number of ways that you can get ShrinkIt to the IIe but
I'll suggest one and leave the rest to other people who have actually
done it using a Mac.  There should be a program out there somewhere
called BINSCII.EXEC or something similar and there should also be a
file called SHRINKIT.BSC.  Both these files should be transferred to
your Mac using ASCII mode, not binary.  These files can then be copied
to a ProDOS disk (I think you may need to do something extra here to
avoid adding a resource fork to the file).  Take that disk to your IIe
and boot a ProDOS disk that has BASIC.SYSTEM on it (a System Utilities
disk should have this) and get yourself to an Applesoft BASIC prompt
(the ] prompt).  Type:

     PREFIX,S5,D1  (the number by the S is the slot the 3.5"
                    controller is in)
     -BINSCII.EXEC  (or whatever the file is actually called)

This should create a program called BINSCII which you can run to
decode the SHRINKIT.BSC file into the SHRINKIT program which you can
then use to unpack the DSK2FILE.SHK archive.
