I have one keyboard with mouse, and a stack of 2 macs and a IIgs; I
just yank the plug and move it to the machine I need to use. I did it
a lot while I was working on booting the GS over AppleTalk. :-)
there have been various threads about the ADB and hot-plugging over
the years; here's one:

I remember one thread where there was supposedly a design lifetime of
100 plugs (or so - my memory may be failing me) and someone
apologizing to Woz for doing it so much more. I can't find that one
just now.
