Yes, cards do not work in any slot.

The LEDs on cards that have them light up, so I think power is still
getting through.

I'm leaning towards one of these suspects.

Nothing shorted the traces based on visual inspection.

The cards all work when plugged into a working GS, so this is not the
problem. Overall, I suspect one of the ICs you mentioned is the
problem. Too bad the ICs are machined soldered in such a fine way
that I can't imagine anyone could hand desolder the chips and hand
solder replacement ones on them. Thank you for the information!
