Ok, I remember why I hadn't already stuck this in my IIgs.
I go into the Focus Utilities program, and do a Hardware check, and a Media
check.
The program says that my Focus Card and the hard drive is OK.
I have Focus ROM version 1.2, The card is in Slot 6 (set to YOUR CARD)
The Focus Driver WAS **NOT YET** installed in my System 6 directory....
The drive originally came from my IIe. I tried the following:
Copy System 6 folder (My working system) straight to the Focus Drive (Using
the finder, and Click, Drag, and Drop)
It reads all of the files, but then the system reports:
********************************************
SYSTEM ERROR ($0048) This operation can't be completed.
Bad storage type
********************************************
I then try to copy 1 file at a time (Open my working system folder, and drag
items individually into the Focus Drive window)
This works GREAT! I can copy individual files, and even folder, but when I
try to copy a **FOLDER with a Folder within it**** I get the same error
message as above.
I can copy *multiple* files, but not if a folder has another folder inside
of it.
I installed the Focus Driver in my System 6 directory, and got the same
problems.
So I figured that the Drive needed to be reformatted. First I did the Focus
Card and media checks, which told me it was A--OK.
I formatted, I have a 160 Meg drive, so It gives me 6X 28 Megabyte
Partitions.
Formatting reports no errors.
REBOOT........System says it cannot recognize FocusPartition1. Do I want to
initialize or eject?
I choose initialize, PRODOS, (28 meg) and do the same for Partitions 2-6
(windows kept popping up saying that the disks were unreadable)
The initialization of these drives took **1 SECOND*** apiece.
Ok, so now I have the 6 Focus Icons on my Finder's screen.
I once again try the Click, Drag, and drop Copying of my System 6 Folder
into the Focus Window.
I get Error $0048 again!
I have read the FAQ, and it says that Error $0048 is VOLUME FULL error.
The volume has NOT A SINGLE file in it!
I can still copy *individual* files, but not Folders that have folders
inside of them.
I can still copy *multiple* files, but not if a folder has another folder
inside of it.
Whats going on here? Do you have any suggestions on how to fix?
