: If I remember correctly, there are four screws mounting
: the hard drive mechanism on metal rails that run from the
: controller to the hard drive on the circuit board side.
: At least on the 40MB or greater drives. There have been
: reports that the 20MB one is different and that the

: 20MB mechanism mounted?

There is a 44-pin connector on the keyboard-end of the card; the 20Mb
mechanism is plugged directly into the connector, in-line with the card.
Aside from the connector itself, there is no mounting for the drive
whatsoever, though there are three unused threaded holes in the base of the
drive.

When I bought the card/drive, there was a bead of what appeared to be
clear silicone sealant on the seam between the drive and the card
connector; that is long gone with no apparent ill effects.

I'm guessing that the 20Mb mechanism is considerably smaller than the 40Mb
or larger mechanism, resulting in the absence of mounting rails. I see
that there are four holes in the card surrounded by solder pads presumably
connected to system ground if anything at all. But there is no mounting
hardware on the 20Mb Focus.
