Print problems with System 6.0.1

Does anyone know fixes, patches or other techniques to get older GSOS
graphics software to print with System 6.0.1?

I have a IIgs with an 80 Meg Focus hardcard, a Transwarp accelerator and 4
Megs of RAM. I use Publish It! 3, Paintworks Gold, and Platinum Paint
and I can't print anything with them. I get error bells and lockups when I
try.

I used to have System 6.0 installed, and I could import Paintworks Gold
graphics to Publish It and print them. Now, under 6.0.1, nothing prints at
all.  

I know I could have a hard drive partition with some older version of GSOS
and boot from it but that seems like an inelegant solution. I would hope
someone knows how to patch these applications or GSOS itself, install
older tool versions or the like to work around the problem.
