DONT GIVE UP!  Semd me $4 and I will send the upgrade ROM for Apple IIc,
with easy instructions to fit it into your oldest IIC.
Two for $7.50.  Postage included.

The upgrade ROM will give you Unidisk 3.5" capability and also the
checkerboard self-test.

IMHO, the self-test is equally useful; it will tell you the location of
any bad RAM memory chips.   These tend to burn out because of the poor
cooling inside.

Every original-IIc deserves the upgrade!
