There was one written years back that ran under MS-DOS and
worked quite well, substituting mousetext characters with the
closest PC ANSI equivalents available (it looked a bit strange,
but the formatting, animation and even sound translated well).
It was written by someone in my area and had its official home
at Eagle-Eye's Emporium BBS (which is now defunct)--but I still
probably have it archived here somewhere. I can't recall its
name at the moment, unfortunately, just that the author's alias
was "Whiz Kid".
A better idea, why not download ApplePC and use that? It
is able to _perfectly_ emulate ProTERM 3.1 and even use the
IBM's serial port to dial a modem. ProTERM Special Emulation
will of course work, since your actually using ProTERM. :-)
Speaking of ProTERM, what ever became of the IBM PC port
InTrec was working on?
