yes, i am aware of that; that's why i wasn't complaining (per se), but
only pointing out that the other guy wasn't alone...

i hear ya, but please suggest how i can justify telling people that
associate the name "Apple" with ONLY Macs that i'm not getting all the
messages in comp.sys.apple2?  (not to mention that they'll tell me i
have other things to do besides read up on a "dead" system...)
sometimes you just have to live with it.  <shrug>

in this case, my ISP is the company i work for...  <g>  if i were
referring to my ISP at HOME (VERY different group, thank you!), then
yeah, i'd be complaining and working with them to fix it.  i've done
it before when the comp.os.linux.* split into a million sub-groups....
